Heads up, riders! The situation in the region has quickly escalated. Following the previous restriction that was limited only to Ward 4, the Municipality of Alexander has officially expanded its safety measures.
Effective Saturday, May 30, 2026, a Level 3 fire ban is now in effect for the entire Municipality of Alexander until further notice as per By-Law No. 06/25.
🚫 What This Means for ATVs & Off-Road Vehicles:
- Backcountry Riding Prohibited: Motorized backcountry travel, including ATVs and all other off-road vehicles, is now strictly prohibited on ALL Municipality of Alexander land.
- High Wildfire Risk: The fire risk is currently extremely high, and expanding this ban municipality-wide is critical to help prevent wildfires.
- Strict Penalties: Contravening any provisions of this By-Law is an offense. Any conviction is subject to a penalty ranging from $250.00 up to $1,000.00.
🌲 Full Level 3 Restrictions Now RM-Wide:
If you are staging, camping, or spending time anywhere within the municipality, please remember that the following are also completely banned:
- No outdoor fires, including those in approved fire pits.
- Discharge of fireworks is not permitted.
- Sky lanterns are not permitted.
Thank you all for your cooperation in protecting our riding areas and communities. Please spread the word to fellow riders, adjust your weekend plans accordingly, and stay safe out there!
